A strange thing - multiple automated GOP political calls ringing in on a disconnected phone line that still had the phone attached (tested and verified as disconnected) an indicator that the GOP doesn't need to actually dial when spreading their crap? (direct access internally to central office equipment - could it be that their spy on everyone is 2 way?)
