Progressive Democrats of America endorsed my candidate, Vickie Butcher! (Duncan Hunter's seat)

Yippeee! Here's the official word from PDA's San Diego metro chapter president congratulating Vickie, who is running to replacing retiring neocon Duncan Hunter, on winning the NATIONAL PDA endorsement:

You have received the
National Endorsement of Progressive Democrats of America!!!
We couldn't be more happy or proud. You've joined the ranks of
Donna Edwards and other great progressives - this means that in 435 CD's, 11 of you have this endorsement.

At its national site, PDA has this to say: http://www.pdamerica.org/articles/campaigns/2008-03-03-13-06-01-campaigns.php

"Vickie generated much excitement among those present as she spoke against the war and for universal health care, election reform, and ending poverty. She plans to join the Congressional Progressive Caucus next January.

... A true progressive in every sense, she faces three candidates in the CA 52 Democratic primary on June 3, none of whom sought the endorsement.

California's Congressional District 52 is in transition from red to blue, with a mix of very conservative voters, moderates and progressives. Randy "Duke" Cunningham's old pal and war hawk, Duncan Hunter, currently holds the seat. Hunter is retiring this year, and his son Duncan D. Hunter is running in the Republican primary to fill his father's open seat.

Vickie's strongest Democratic challenger is Mike Lumpkin, a former U.S. Navy Seal who takes positions adverse to PDA's progressive agenda. He spoke at our December meeting and appears to be closely aligned with the junior Hunter's militarism. As such, they offer the voters of District 52 no clear choice. Vickie is a distinct alternative to Hunter and Lumpkin, championing a progressive platform which is gaining resounding support all over the country today.

Vickie has received a number of endorsements, including those of Reps. Stephanie Tubbs Jones and Diane Watson...."

Please kick and recommend this thread to bring visibility to Vickie's race.

Finally please sign up at Vickie's website and donate if you can - the Republicans and her military primary opponent are pulling out all the stops, so your help is needed to assure victory for Vickie!
