How the fuck did this guy become president?
No answer necessary. I just had to let off some steam. Everything seems to be a joke to Shrub these days.

since December of 2000. It's like some horrible nightmare that I can't wake up from every single fucking day.

14. pretty much
I think the big problem they are going to have with going the hard authoritarian route is the size of the country and the population...maybe easier said than done.

10. And then get reelected to boot?
I was talking with a colleague last night while watching CNN and the early returns on the primary results. Don't know how we started on the issue, but he said, "I can't think of anything that the Bush administration has accomplished since 2000, but I can sure think of lots of things they've screwed up" and then we started naming the screwups--and it went on and on and on. So many things have been screwed up that it's not hard to forget a few: the war in Iraq, the response to Katrina and the lack of follow through, the controversies with the attorney general, the bankruptcy bill, the prescription drug bill, the transportation bill, the failures on social security and immigration reform, turning a budget surplus into a large and growing deficit, the restrictions on personal liberties, the weakening of government agencies' ability to regulate their industries and perform their roles, resulting in poor disaster response, mine safety issues, food safety issues, and transportation safety issues, failing to get an energy bill with oil now more than $100 a barrel, the subprime mortgage issue, failing to do anything about the health care crisis, outing a CIA employee for political purposes, reneging on treaties with other companies, and generally creating a great deal of anti American sentiment throughout the world. I'm sure I'm missing some, but January 20, 2009 can't come too soon in my view.

11. The Rovian hand of 'How to Steel Elections for Fun & Profit'
was what happened.
I have no doubt that Rove is having a field day with this election also.
McSameasBush met with Bush today. Who doubts the running mate for McSameasBush was discussed and agreed to..according to Rove's playbook.

McSameasBush is exactly that.
They're not giving up their power to a vote of the people. Why would they suddenly honor the US Constitution? When was the last time thet happened?
Beware of Rove's influence, they have too much too lose to give their power to anyone but their handpicked Pres & Veep.
