I am ecstatic over last night's results: That bastard
Teddy Miller lost. Who, you say? Ack, no one you should care about. He's the longtime Constable in a tiny hamlet in Northern VT, Island Pond.

And he'd get you for going one mile over the speed limit. He's gotten me for just that. And you can't argue with the fat prick, even nicely. Teddy was hated far and wide. He was a legend in the state. He enraged people from all over the world- literally.

And now the arrogant, uber rude fuck is gone. Hey, even the Boston Globe is covering his demise.

Bye, bye Teddy, and fuck you.

Longtime constable ousted in Island Pond vote
March 4, 2008

ISLAND POND, Vt.—Longtime constable Ted Miller, whose ticket-writing efficiency won him widespread notoriety during his 25-year tenure, was ousted Tuesday.

Darren "Bucky" Tardif, a 28-year-old landscaper, outpolled Miller 316 to 268 in Australian ballot voting on Town Meeting Day.

Tardif and others had accused Miller of taking aim on out-of-state drivers, ticketing them so often that word about the citations prompted would-be visitors to steer clear of Island Pond. Miller, 59, says he doesn't care where a car is from, he'll pull it over if the driver has violated the law.

In a separate vote Tuesday, the people of Island Pond voted 299 to 284 to make the constable's job an appointed position instead of an elected position, as it had been.

6. Is his speed traps listed here?
SPEED TRAPS

When you get the web site up, click on the state.
Then the next window is a listing of all the cities in that
state.

Click on your city and there are the speed traps listed.

I had no idea this was available.

10. hey, cool site. it certainly is listed. Here's the write up:
Town Constable Miller writes more speeding tickets in this town of 1,500 than any other town in the state. Overly strict enforcement of all traffic laws.

Thanks for the link.

:hi:

7. That reminds me of Denver cop Buster Snider
Edited on Wed Mar-05-08 12:12 PM by MindPilot
In the sixties he had the reputation for being one of the most ticket-writin', head-bustin' cops the city had ever been unfortunate enough to hire. And he lived on my street.

This guy would be out in the morning with a yardstick writing his neighbors tickets for parking over 18" from the curb. And would do that when there was so much snow on the ground it was tough to tell if you were parking in front of your own house let alone the correct distance from the curb.

My first encounter he gave me a ticket for running a stop sign; I was 12, on my bike and on the sidewalk in front of my house. We had a corner lot and I was simply riding from the front yard to the back.

After he had been on and off the force a few times, no police department would hire him and years later our paths crossed again when Officer Snider was the clean-up guy at the car dealer where I worked. Most of the techs had previous encounters with him and we worked hard to make his life miserable.

Frequently the lube guy would "forget" to position the drain pan and would order Buster over to clean it up. I had a really bad habit of neglecting to drain coolant before disconnecting the hoses and sometimes I surprised myself with the number of times I forgot to re-install oil filters.

Ahh...justice.
