McCain visiting Bush for endorsement? This is GREAT news!!
This will make McCain absolutely inseparable from Bush. And that's a good thing. This country tends to get "fatigue" with administration. Once McCain kisses Bush's ring and is anointed his successor, McCain will become synonymous with Bush and thereby become part of the fatigue.

This means that we will be running against George Bush, and that's an election we can win handily.

6. Kiss of death?
not hardly. The news will be how HRC squashed BO and the hard fight to come for the Democratic nomination.
I was/am an Edwards supporter. When he dropped out, I knew that I would happily vote for BO or HRC, whichever won the nomination because I admired them both.

Then something awful happened, HRC began to lose the primaries and she went negative against BO. As a woman who trusted and admired her immensely, this cut me to the bone. This election (I mean the GE) is too important for the future of my sons and to hear from HRC the kind of negative & oft downright misleading stuff coming from her has destroyed most, if not all, the trust I had for her.

Up until this past 7-10 days, I would have campaigned for her with all my heart. Now I'm worried that she has started on such a negative road that will only give the GOP ammo to use against her or BO in the GE.

This is not just pessimism on my part, I've been reading the all the posts on DU and we are already tearing each other apart. Imagine what it will be like if we don't come together now and stop all this bickering. The GOP is loving what is happening to us right now and they will use it to bury us.

PEACE!

7. BOTH of our candidates need to start campainging
against McCain now, not against each other.

Whoever does the best job against McCain is the one who should get the nomination. Whoever is the most negative against one of our own should be out.

9. His Biggest Mistake...And So Be It
Grandpa's the nominee, but not the head of the party. He's not only joining himself at all appendeges to this regime, but will have to defend them despite himself. I suspect booooshie now feels "liberated" as now there's someone else whose political fate now means more than his...and that whatever new shit he stirs, it'll be McLame who takes the heat. Any stupid thing his assholiness says or does, now gets tatooed onto Grandpa and let's see how comfortable he is having to defend policies he has no control over.

Already we're seeing Grandpa run a reactive, not proactive campaign...and it'll only get worse as he tries to prove himself to his own corrupt party.

The only ones who will be impressed today will be our corporate media toadies. Be prepared for Tweety to have his full mancrush swooon on.

10. please, the media will still call him a maverick & a moderate
sure, he's a war monger who wants to stay in iraq for a thousand years while we bomb, bomb, bomb Iran...

and, sure he wants to make the Bush tax cuts for the rich permanent...

but, he ran against Bush in 2000, so he must be a maverick!
