I went off on a fellow customer at my bank today

I must have looked nuts.

I was on my way to the gym. I had on shortz and a silly teeshirt. I stopped in the bank on the way to make a deposit.

As I am standing in line, this woman is discussing the value of her stocks and bonds with one of the bank personnel. She's saying that we need less taxes and less regulation so her stock values will go up. The bank person seemed less than happy to be speaking to her.

I lost it. I interrupted her.

"The reason our entire economy is crap is because we have an idiot president who started an idiot war and put it on the national credit card. We can't have record deficits and a dollar in the toilet and still let you clip your coupons."

The bank guy smiled.

"Yeah, but Congress went along," she said, with that rich person whine.

"Yeah ..... your REPUBLICAN Congress went along."

Game, set, match.

I felt better after that.

Not really scream, but a co-worker who fancies himself a Republican and part of the investor class because, after all, he has a 401k, 3 IRA's, company stock plan, etc.
I calmly looked at him and said no, you are not a member of the investor class. The real investor class laughs at insignificants like you and me so if you are voting Republican for that reason, you are cutting your own throat. The investor class can (for the most part) weather a lot of this downturn. You and I, not so easily.
