Well, Praise the lord!

1. And?
I am not a Christian but I find nothing wrong with those who are attending their church or any church that espouses their beliefs.

4. Yeah, but Osteen is one of those mega-church charlatans.
He's in the same mold as Jimmy Swagart and the rest of them.

13. And this has what to do with worship?
You are assuming that because Olstein is a charlatan, and I agree, that everyone who attends his church is not sincere in their Christian beliefs.

14. No. I don't care if they are sincere or not.
What concerns me is that by being there, Bill Clinton is adding to Osteen's legitimacy. Gee, I had my doubts, but if someone like Bill Clinton goes there, it is probably okay.

16. Olstein sells snake oil
but, Bill Clinton is only one person and no one person can make the seller of the snake oil legitimate but you can believe in the snake oil itself.

15. I believe Swaggart was affiliated with the Assembly of God
churches which was run of the mill evangelical Christian. At least it was run of the mill something. Osteen and ilk are more like Christian flavored self-help gurus.

17. Yes he was
and that does not mean all who attend his brand of church are bad in the same way those who attend the guru church are not bad. They are just buying the snake oil.
