Now, this is loving your Senator!
Go to: http://bethelmainesnowwoman.com/webcam.html

It's a live webcam picture of a 122 foot snowman that the citizens of Bethel Maine spent over a month building in honor of their senior Senator, Olympia Snow. It's called the Olympia SnowWoman.

Story at: http://blogs.usatoday.com/ondeadline/2008/02/maine-town-dedi.html

1. I have a question...
why do they have a live webcam on a snowman? so we can see it melt in real-time (which would be slightly more pathetic than building the snowman in the first place)?

7. I think Snowe will no longer vote with the neocons
once their power in Congress has been completely broken. She's an old line New England Republic, and they're a completely different breed from the rest of the country.

I think she's been browbeaten by a coalition of thugs for years. I expect her to blossom once they're gone.

8. Pictures are at Yahoo now - pics
here are a couple...

Organizers announced the name 'Olympia' for the giant snowwoman during a ceremony in Bethel, Maine, on Friday, Feb. 29, 2008. Old skis were used for her eyelashes, and tires for for smile. The name honors Maine's senior Sen. Olympia Snowe. Bethel claimed the record for world's tallest snowman in 1999. That snowman was dubbed Angus, King of the Mountain, in honor of then-Gov. Angus King. Olympia rises 122 ft. and one inch, which beats the old record of 114 feet .
