George W. Bush – rancher – brush cutter – cowboy
We all know that the “rancher” and “brush cutter” in chief are bullshit. So let’s take a look at W. the cowboy.

Just about everyone has seen “Shane,” “High Noon,” and the Clint Eastwood spaghetti westerns.

So here’s the issue/question. Who in the world could possibly picture this inept, joke of a man filling the historic image of the American cowboy? Try to picture him in the middle of the street at “High Noon.” Imagine him walking into the saloon in the final scene of “Shane.”

There’s one person in the world that could imagine these scenarios without laughing, and his name is George W. Bush.

So what’s my point? The mental midget in the White House not only believes these cinematic legends, but pictures himself as the hero.

How ironic can you get? A man who is nothing more than a Woody Allen one-liner who thinks he’s Wyatt Earp.

Then again, perhaps Ralph Nader too sees himself as a lone hero, cleaning up the town, and then riding off into the sunset.

1. I think we should let him see what real brush cutting is like
Maybe once he is convicted, he could work a chain gang cutting brush in a Texas ditch

3. Another problem with the cowboy image - Bush is afraid of horses.
Terrified of them; not one horse on his 'ranch' in Crawford.

9. He's not a cowboy, never has been. He's Walter Fucking Mitty
Edited on Wed Feb-27-08 06:46 PM by ProgressiveFool
That's what the W stands for.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_Mitty

edit: wow, that wikipedia entry is a treasure trove... The brits call Chicken Hawks "Walts"

Also, there is a term in military slang, "Walt", which is an abbreviation of Walter Mitty, which refers to someone who has aspirations to become a soldier, but none of the necessary personal qualities. This bit of slang can also refer to someone who poses as an (ex-) soldier but who isn't a soldier (serving or former) or who poses as something he isn't or wasn't. (e.g. a logistics soldier who poses as an SAS trooper, or a member of the Legion of Frontiersmen). Additional derogatory military slang is the "Weekend Walt" which refers to members of the Territorial Army.
