Damn I love British protesters
BBC gave the environmental about ten minutes of coverage including an interview. About six of them are on the roof of the Parliament Building with great banners and papers planes protesting that third runway at Heathrow. They are waiting for the Prime Minister's Question Time.
The BBC guy was actually laughing. What an embarrassment for the government.

This follows Green Peace managing to place a banner on a British Airways flight.

Live coverage of Question Time should be real fun today.

1. That's beautiful!
They always come up with such clever ways to get their message across.

2. It is way more fun watching
BBC International is showing them again. One of the ladies is dancing and throwing paper planes. This is priceless :rofl:

3. They'd be shot if it was this country
Imagine them even getting near the roof of the Capitol Building or the WH.
That's why I feel proud to be British.

4. You're absolutely correct
There is way more freedom in Britain. Mind you they'll be arrested and fined when they eventually come down, but the police haven't attempted to remove them since if they fell off the side of that perilous roof, there would have been hell to pay in London today.

5. The protests ends peacefully

<snip>
A protest on the roof of Parliament against the expansion of Heathrow has ended after almost three hours.

Six campaigners who unfurled banners from Parliament were led away at about 1220 GMT. They were detained by police and are expected to be arrested.

It is thought the group gained access to the roof via a fire escape.

During prime minister's questions, Gordon Brown said decisions must be made "in the chamber of this House and not on the roof of this House".

Police said there was a "strong possibility" the protesters had been guests of Westminster security pass holders.

They did have passes.
<snip>
Liberal Democrat transport spokesman Norman Baker told the BBC: "It's clearly worrying that they have been able to get on the roof...

"But having said that I can understand, in a sense, the objective of the protesters. We have had a sham consultation on Heathrow."
