This may come as a shock to some of you, but I suspect that there is a chance...
that the Republicans may not play fair in the November election.

They might, like, say bad things about our candidate--things that aren't entirely accurate.

Also, the media may just find their candidates more exciting, admirable and personable than ours, and want to share their enthusiasm with the public by putting out good stories about the good guys--them--and bad stories about the bad guys--us.

Could be that some voting machines will malfunction too, and just by chance they may favor Republican candidates.

And another thing--in their zealous efforts to keep people from voting when they shouldn't, the Republicans may occasionally--purely accidentally--exclude someone from voting who should not be excluded. And, wonder of wonders, the excluded persons may tend to have dark skins or come from poor districts or things like that.

Now of course any events like these totally hypothetical scenarios I just dreamed up are improbable in the extreme.

But just to cover all our bases, do we have any contingency plans about these wildly demented speculations of mine?

Preferably on another continent with friendly natives
who can show you how to survive on roots and rocks.

I'd say it's a foregone conclusion.

10. Poppy announced the powers that be intentions to crown McCain their next puppet.
Make no mistake about it.
And, like I said upbthread- be mindful that
McCain will enter office with ALL the Hitlerian
powers that Bush signed into executive order-
It will then officially be past time to get the fuck out
of this country.

20. Ah, now you're just talkin' crazy
But you're right about the Republicans talking bad about our candidate, and some (all) of them may not be entirely true. Which is something I hope folks bear in mind this summer.

I do think we're better organized this time around, and the rapid response to disparagement by both the Obama and Clinton campaigns is encouraging.

23. They're kicking Democrats off of voting rolls and vote caging like crazy.
My contingency plan is to keep pointing this out over and over and come June to actively recruit people to work election protection and to train voters to defend their votes. I have no idea if that will be enough.

We know where they will try to steal.

Whe know who they will try to steel from.

We see it coming a mile away.

What else do we need to know? :)

25. You're assuming they are still organized
They are in disarray. They will attack like a rabid animal. True, they will lash out aggressively. Yes, they will froth at the mouth. But they are also disoriented, easy to catch, and aimlessly wandering about looking for a place to die a deluded death.

29. Two reasons. (And I agree that the Republic candidate this year
is on a suicide mission.)

But, information has been surfacing that Democrats are being kicked off of voter rolls and that vote caging operations are in full swing all over the country. So, I'm assuming 1) They are thinking ahead and building a "profile" up in swing states and 2) they are thinking about down ticket races, i.e., Senate seats and House races.

Nobody is doing this for McCain or whoever. But the machine is in full swing for the party interests.

I think they WANT to lose..and then hope that all the dominos topple during a democratic administration...then they roar back with a vengeance in '12 with the Jebster or Romney..

There's a whoile bunch more shit about to roll downhill, and I'm not so sure they want any chance of being blamed..

35.  you can count on it getting ugly
It always has and always will . I don't think people have seen anything yet .

Another thing is there is a party split in the Dem party , This is where all the bashing from both sides did not help things .

You have to know there will be some voters who will either not vote or vote against their own party strictly out of revenge .

There are twice as many dem voters so it has been said but with these primaries and caucus who can really tell when there are independants and repuds voting dem .

It's a pretty screwed up deal this time around .

Add to this the black box machines are still out there in many areas as well as Rove and many others who do not want things to change . And you have the corporate owned media who have destroyed all other good dem candidates .

Plus there is still almost a year left of the bush /cheney machine ramping up yet another attack .

I heard Scott Ritter on the Malloy show last night and you can't count this out from what he had to say .

36. Support the election integrity group of your choice with some $$ now.

Folks are giving hundreds of millions to the campaigns, with nary a cent to the election integrity groups who are doing their best to organize now to protect the election as best we can.

So -- give at little something money-wise to Election Integrity now, especially if you can't give time. The smaller groups and especially the state-level groups need support, ASAP.

Do it now. Don't wait until next December.
