Military contractor rewarded for shortchanging troops.

VoteVets’ Brandon Friedman writes that the company that provided over 2 million substandard Kevlar helmets to U.S. troops was also awarded one of three U.S. government contracts to provide armor for the new Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles (MRAPs). Earlier this month, the military contractor — Sioux Manufacturing — agreed to pay a $2 million fine for producing bad helmets.

1. Arrrrgggghhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!
Support the troops.. unless it cost money. This goes back to the whole "DragonSkin" armor thing. Too expensive for the troops, but good for the politicians. And god forbid your family sends you some DragonSkin, the army will take it away so you can use their sanctioned crap armor. Maybe that's how the politicians got their DragonSkin, stole it from some kid who's family is trying to keep him alive.

You really have to have your head up your ass to support this administration.

2. "2 million substandard Kevlar helmets " - "$2 million fine" - so they lost $1 per helmet

5. Was there ever any doubt?

I visited a couple of Vet hospitals when I lived in San Diego from 79 - 80

The screaming, wailing, fumes and seeing so many people missing limbs from those places will never leave my mind.

And every new war that the PNAC gang dreams up creates even more of the suffering TO THEIR OWN CITIZENS.

But let's not forget all the grief that the USA's war-machine has created around the globe that I have not seen.

I don't think my mind could handle it all.
