A place between Utopia and Dystopia
Edited on Sun Feb-25-07 06:06 PM by Chantico
In order to survive, a human being must believe that it is possible that such a place exists that is acceptable and livable. The vast churning push towards the wrong end is overpoweringly evident these days while the occasional hope of a “civilization that once was” or “a shining future that could be” is often mocked. Some of the mockery is out of spite, but a lot of it is out of evidence to the contrary.

To find a, shall we say “pre-Utopia” for humans, there must be some consensus upon what path we are on and where we are going, I believe.

Mores change, cultural differences exist, technology is faster than human cognition.

If one decides to continue responding and reacting as one always has while everything else is changing, well. It will not even reach pre-Utopia. It will continue on the dystopic path.

Open minds. Out of the box. These are not Corporate-invented slogans geared for boosting worker productivity. These are evolutionary traditions of successful groups of human beings.

Conventional Wisdoms about any group of people is in and of itself, obscure and harmful if used against that group.
