What I belive in... Points and Perspectives

Okay... I have been told who I am on here more times than I can count. So... In an attempt to let you know how I feel... and "who" I am I'm going to let you into my mind.

If you really don't care... don't read it. I won't be responding to any negative comments. That's not what this is about. I just want to set the record straight.

If you do care... well, here you go.

Abortion:

I'm a guy... I can't have one... So honestly, I don't see how I should have any say-so in what a woman does with her body. I think that is something that should be left up to women to decide.

However... I do believe that a woman should have to tell the man who got her pregnant before she gets an abortion. Not for permission; just to let him know.


LGBT Rights:

I think that marriage should be between two people who love each other. That's it... Don't care if you are gay/straight/bi... Don't care. I don't particularly subscribe to the bible, but there is one thing I read that I believe whole heartedly. Love is a good thing; ALL LOVE.

As to whether or not it is a choice... I believe you love who you love. You are attracted to who you are attracted to. That's it. The only "choice" involved is whether you want to be happy or miserable. Nobody should have to make the choice to be miserable. If you love someone... that shouldn't be an issue. I hope I am making myself clear.


Health Care:

We should all get it. It should cost minimal. It shouldn't be about profit. That's it.


Civil Liberties:

I think we should all be treated equal. I don't believe in discrimination against anyone for any reason. I believe in equal pay, equal rights... regardless of age sex religion, or anything else you got.

In all likelihood, it won't happen in our lifetimes, but I would like to think that one day it will. I like to think that we are on that path. But, I'm an optimist. What can I say?

Immigration:

Everyone in this country came from immigrants, with the exception of Native Americans. I thought that is was this country is supposed to be about... A big melting pot.

The ones that are here illegally... You can't send them back, nor should you. Get them documented. Make them pay taxes. Have them learn English so that they can get better jobs. If you don't scare the hell out of them with threads of deportation, they won't mind becoming legal. They won't hide. I know congress has a hard time with common sense... but please... this one isn't that difficult.

Personal Belief:

Most importantly, I believe that it is possible that I could be wrong on just about every issue up there. I believe I need to listen to what everyone around me says, even if I disagree. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. And I respect that vehemently.

I know I missed a ton of stuff, but these seem to be on the forefront, and so I thought I would address these. If you want to ask me anything... send me a pm and I'll respond as soon as I get a chance.

In closing... We are one nation of individuals; alone we accomplish nothing; together we can succeed in everything.

One other thing you clearly are is an Obama supporter. Nothing wrong with that. Nothing wrong with being a Clinton supporter either.

And I hope you hold to your statement not to respond to negative comments. You have shown yourself capable of really stirring things up. Nothing wrong with that either. But your combativeness doesn't help your cause.

Just another piece of friendly advice. Take it or leave it.

8. I have similar beliefs, and one more very important one...

I believe that the ratings battles among right wing radio and TV motormouths should be fought with live ammunition.
