Is there a way to hide threads based on subject/issue/keyword(s)?

Is there a way to hide threads based on subject/issue/keyword(s)?
It's getting pretty annoying going over to GD-P and seeing it dominated by two issues and even one person's name (who is not a candidate).

There are plenty of really interesting threads that are actually ABOUT THE PRIMARIES (imagine that! in a primary forum!) but you have to dig through post after post, sometimes on the second page or beyond.

2. It's several posters, on both sides of the issue.
My ignore list would get pretty long. :) I do appreciate the suggestion.

I'm just tired of trying to read up on and discuss the primaries in a forum that was ostensibly designated for the primaries, but now seems to have been hijacked by one single interest issue.
