Nicole Kidman will play Valerie Plame in upcoming Warner Brothers movie

BREAKING: Nicole Kidman Outed as Valerie Plame

Nearly a year after Warner Brothers announced their intention to make a biopic of outed CIA agent Valerie Plame, the identity of the actress who will play her has finally been leaked to the media – and you can only find it on MTV News. (Eat it Bob Novak!)

“Nicole Kidman,” director Doug Liman revealed. “She’s perfect if you’ve ever met Valerie. Nicole was supposed to play Jane Smith in ‘Mr. and Mrs. Smith.’ We owe a movie together! That’s an unrequited thing between me and an actor where I fell in love with them for a role and never get to consummate it.”

1. Valerie Plame should play herself. She's certainly more
beautiful than the washed-out Nicole Kidman and Ms. Plame is ten times as glamorous.

6. she has the looks but doesn't seem comfortable in public
i do think she is far more beautiful than kidman. i think naomi watts might have been a better choice . but maybe kidman is tall like plame and can do a better american accent.

i'm not a fan of kidman. but will probably watch this .

7. If Valerie Plame seems uncomfortable in public......
then it's probably because now she KNOWS that everybody in the room knows she's a spy! :)

8. I agree.
Ms. Plame-Wilson is 10 times more luminous than Nicole Kidman. Besides, considering that she was a NOC for most of her career, she is most likely a far better actress.

Nicole Kidman never had to do a good job of acting, because if she didn't, she would get all dead. Valerie did, more than once. Kinda like Improv, with torture instead of booing.

9. I had always cast Naomi Watts in my mind...
I think she resembles Ms. Plame more.

Here are links to pics. I am dreadfully inept at html.

21. I think Nicole's pretty good.
I loved the Hours, but really thought Juliette Lewis stole the show. I just think it's possible to be too big a star to play an ordinary person.

seriously.

15. Kidman is too wooden and cool--which has made for ideal casting in some instances, but not this one.
Edited on Wed Feb-13-08 11:56 AM by blondeatlast
"To Die For," "Eyes Wide Shut," "The Golden Compass;" she nailed those.

But this one? Colossal mistake, IMHO. Plame seems very warm even from what little we've seen of her. Not too mention, Kidman has been WAY overexposed.
