When was the last time you saw an Al Qaeda?
As far as I can tell the group consists of two members who themselves may or may not be living.

1. Well according to the Iraq Study Group report ....
..... there are 1,300 in Iraq with 90% of them being Iraqis
who by the way are being funded by our friends the Saudis.

The real al Qaeda / Taliban are in Pakistan and Afghanistan where because
of bush's stupid war in Iraq we have really screwed up big time.

2. Bless you.
Exactly. The idea of assorted independent groups sharing ideas but maintaining their own leadership doesn't work for George who needs a Nazi Evil Empire equivalent to stir the masses into surrendering their constitutional rights and protections.

It's boogeyman bullshit.

There is a real threat to this nation and George isn't doing one damn thing about it: Global warming. It will kill millions of US, not them (well, them as well) and rip us from one shining sea to the other. And we're still acting like our most important decision is when to buy that HD TV.

3. You mean other than the one I'm harboring under my bed?
Or the group of Al Qaeda that is camping out in the woods behind my house? I don't think I've seen any.

4. Remeber as kids how we'd find the
stupidest, most gullible kid in the crowd and take them Snipe hunting? "Yeah, George, they're really out there. You just stand here and hold the net."

7. Have you been through airport security lately?
Al Qaeda suspects are everywhere. They're little kids holding teddy bears and 90-year-olds in wheelchairs. Everyone is a terrorist. Be very afraid.

8. "We have seen the enemy and it is us."
Can't remember who said that.

9. Have you seen "Power of Nightmares?"
The documentary basically says that Al-Qaeda does not exist - at least, not in the way it's been portrayed in Western media. Instead, Bin Laden was a financier who would agree to support various independent radical terrorist projects.

10. and yet folks still call in to WJ saying they fear an occupied
US under Islamic rule.... where the women will be forced to wear burkas.

Wtf?

So how does said 'invasion' and 'occupation' of the US happen? Never any explanation - just repeating rw shill talk radio fear points.

PT Barnum sure knew his audience.
