You know what I hate about people like Wexler...
taking it to the streets like he's doing?

Now matter who has this bullhorn this week or that, whether Conyers, or Leahy, or Wexler, they ALWAYS have a "Donate" or "Contribute" or "Re-Elect" factor on the websites they send you to to do your civic duty. And, somehow, NOTHING EVER GETS DONE! You want impeachment? Nevermind that, but, please, do contribute to get me re-elected so I can continue to FUCK YOU IN YOUR EAR!

I don't know what or whom to believe anymore.

1. Unfortunately panhandling is just
part of the political game, until public financing for campaigns becomes the norm we are going to keep seeing those donation requests.

2. My point is that I've participated in the
wexlerwantshearings.com thing and I've seen it EVERYWHERE. And if you goto the site, of course, the first thing you see is a petition page with two buttons right up top, one to go to Wexler's congressional website and another that says "Contribute". To me it just looks like the gathering of a mailing/contact list and some money to re-elect a politician who's current agenda is probably already doomed to failure and obscurity. Meanwhile, he has 250,000 name and addresses and who knows how much in contibutions.

I'm sorry. I've just gotten totally jaded by the whole system. I just can't trust anyone anymore.

I will concede this though: If Wexler is successful in launching impeachment proceedings, I'll do something disgusting...like eat ground beef, or something.

3. It's gotten old...
and insulting. As though I need to pay an elected official to do what they were elected to do. And keep paying even though I know I'm getting ripped off. What kind of fool do they think I am?
