We Will Never See Action Taken On The Many Crimes Of The Bush Administration Unless ...
No activity will be investigated, no indictments sought, no trials, no convictions, no jail unless the next President is a Democrat and supports investigations and the ensuing indictments, trials, convictions, and jail time. Have you heard either of our would be Candidates say what their position is on the matter?

I can guarantee you this - there is one answer that is not acceptable. If you hear one of them say 'we are about the way forward and not about lingering on the past' or any such nonsense you will have heard that unacceptable answer.

Lawlessness can not be tolerated. It would not be tolerated of you, me, our neighbors, or anyone else - so why should a President and his minions be above the law? Will we allow our next Democratic President to turn the blind eye to the incessant criminal activity we have all seen for the last 7 years?

1. Neither will pursue their predecessor.
Not a chance.

2. Well yeah, we probably will.
Neither Clinton nor Obama seems inclined to pursue this matter in any great depth.

3. For what it is worth,
in my opinion, the Democratic President who lets this slide essentially seals the fate and assures the end of this country. We have only a teeny tiny chance of making things right again. We can not afford to let this well oiled and well planned take over have any more time to tie up the ends.

4. I agree wholeheartedly
And I would support ANY candidate that promises to vigorously try to rout out the evil.

And it can't stop with just Bush & Cheney & Rove & Rummy and the household names. It's got to go deeper, beyond even Feith, Negroponte, Ledeen...

Simply removing them from power for a few years is not sufficient, and I don't understand why more people don't get this. Rummy was a lying conniving SOB back in the Ford administration! And when they're temporarily out of power, they often take academic positions that breed more of their ilk.

With Kristol at the NYT and Rove on Fox, I feel sorry for whichever Dem gets elected, because the MSM is going to make their life hell.

5. We have stood and watched their lawlessness...
I marched in DC last January. Me and nearly half a million other people, on the heals of the historic 2006 mid term election.

What's changed?

Nothing.

Same shit, different day.

The time has come people. The time has come.

Our elected leaders are not fulfilling their oaths.

Our elected leaders are shirking responsibility.

It is up to us.

MLK, Ghandi, MalcomX nonviolent, peaceful demonstrations? This admin would laugh in their collective faces.

Its time for the masses to gather and drag these criminals into the streets.

7. Something tells me we will again hear about the anthrax attacks..
if the Dems take over. Pat Leahy in particular has not forgiven or forgotten this. I think if the Dems take full control, you will see a vigorous investigation of this, and if they can solve it, the dominoes just fall.

8. That goes for Bush I and Bush II, unless, of course, you keep in mind they will be
charged with crimes in other countries and international courts:

George Bush Sr. May Face Charges: Conspiring to Kidnap and Murder Political Activists

You do not escape charges for such serious crimes until you are dead.

This is the first case that may bring charges on former (and present?) American officials:

Italy: Judge issues 140 arrest warrants in "Plan Condor" case. Bush NOT YET indicted.

"NO REST for WAR CRIMINALS" with TWO Bush presidents would be a good bumper sticker

10. Well, what happened in 1993 when Clinton came in?
None of what you describe will happen unless literally millions of people take to the streets to demand it.

With the end of the present administration, its officials lose the immunity (legal and moral) that comes from being in power. That is a good thing.

But unless there is anything less than an upheaval driven by outrage over the Bush regime's crimes, you can be certain: a Democratic administration will NOT support investigations. It will also obstruct any investigations that arise and tell us to "Move on for the Future" (translation: CRIME PAYS, ENABLE THE NEXT BUSH). If the Clinton group is back, this is guaranteed. (Am I allowed to note what happened when they were last in power?) Mark my words: They won't just not investigate, they will actively obstruct all effort at investigations.

This is my observation from history. I hope no one responds with a fantasy about how things should be or must be, because Democrats are good and Republicans are bad.
