Foreign policy has been firmly in the OVP control since Day One...the state department has become another political patronage hang-out loaded with incompetent ideologues who have driven out the life-long diplomats.

Rice has been nothing more than a prop...trotted out as a distraction or to try to smile away yet another regime disaster. Foreign governments know she holds no real authority and all but ignore her. One would think that if we're facing a "global war" we'd have someone in that position who actually could sell the case abroad.

This lady's name will long be held as the standard of total ineptness...a total failure as both a diplomat and a person.
