Denver Airport mural...this is just creepy
Edited on Thu Feb-07-08 11:43 PM by ElsewheresDaughter
to see the images click on the blue word "image"

Given the numerous conspiracy theories about what is happening UNDER Denver International, doesnt this mural seem a little out of place in an airport?

Lots of speculation that the military is building or has already built a pretty big underground base there.

Close up

It appears to be a soldier in a gas mask using his sabre to stab the white dove.

Odd for an airport huh?

There is also this capstone on a little sculpture there. Notice the freemason symbol and the words "New World Airport"

I was listening to a coast to coast am radio show from a few weeks ago and it jogged my memory as something to look in to.

Evidently the murals are in a part of the area known as the Great Hall, which coincidentally is what the freemasons call their meeting lodges.

okay now tell me I nuts

She spoke at my school once. Native American, and really hates white people. Quite full of herself, too.

The soldier spearing the white dove is probably her statement on smallpox poisoning. I'd look but the geocities link is down.

Thanks, its a very entertaining one...

I have seen the mural in person.. Yes, its a a bit odd, but it is beautiful and artistic.

I guess if one really wanted to, they can say the old Union Terminal murals hanging in Cincinnati International were calling cards of the communist party since they show factory work.

31. I have also heard...
There are also gargoyle sculptures, and a kepypad on top of the capstone that no one seems to know what it actually does. In the murals, there is also a little girl lying in a casket among other things.....is this true?

I seem to recall a casket in the one of the murals.

Want to see something really silly? The runways of DIA are laid out nearly like a swastika. Check it out on Google maps.

42. The "keypad" doesn't exist.
The "keypad" is actually a small extension off a dedication plaque that repeats the text of the plaque in Braille for the blind. It has absolutely no keying purpose or properties whatsoever.

I was fascinated by this Denver airport stuff and actually went down there to see it for myself. I was pretty much underwhelmed. Much of what is on these "Denver Airport" websites is blown out of proportion at best and complete bullshit at worst.

33. Oh God, not this again
Although the murals are pretty odd, one thing everybody always overlooks in this particular conspiracy is the last panel, in which creepy soldier-guy lies dead while happy people dance around him and two doves alight on his corpse. In a strange way, that's hopeful.

34. My brother lives near Denver.
He mentioned to me that he thinks there is a concerted effort to drive down housing prices in Denver so as to make the land cheaper to buy because the government is planning to convert Denver Inter. Airports and the Salt Lake City Airport into the main international airports to bypass LA and NYC. Although he is prone to the occasional conspiracy theories, my SIL is a realtor and they've been having one hell of a time trying to sell a couple of houses, since way before the sub-prime mess.

38. SLC's airport is pretty small, and probably can't expand much.
There's this huge lake right next to it, and it's tough to build runways in a smelly saltwater lake.

With the way this country has been going the last seven years it seems only natural that they would want people to see what they have in store for them if they say anything about the Cheney administration and the bogus "airport security" while traveling through the airport.
