U.S. Rep. Dave Weldon To Retire; Daughter, 21, Arrested In Bar Fight

WEST MELBOURNE, Fla. -- The same day the daughter of U.S. Rep. Dave Weldon was arrested in a fight outside a bar, the Republican congressman from Florida's 15th district announced he will retire from the House at the end of this term.

Katie Weldon, 21, was arrested at 1:40 a.m. at the County Line Saloon in West Melbourne. Police said she struck a man with her shoe outside a bar, causing a laceration under his left eye.

According to an arrest affidavit, the incident was witnessed by a security officer at the bar.
