Do you know liberals / Democratcs who would vote for McCain in the General?

I'm curious about this, partially because I was shocked to hear that a friend of mine is considering voting for McCain over either of the two leading Democrats. And the guy has been historically pretty liberal.

I know lots of liberals who will certainly consider NOT voting for the likely democratic candidate, but not to vote for McCain. That's just insane.

I did debate that because i am of a mind that voting for McCain certainly isn't very liberal - but Blue Dog Democrats or Moderate independents might still consider themselves on the left side of the line.

9. The Democrats I have heard say they will vote McCain

are doing so because they don't know a thing about him except that he is a POW and a "moderate". Mainly, they tell me they are voting against Clinton/or Obama. I think if McCain's programs for the economy, job outsourcing, and health care are exposed to them, they might change their minds. But in at least one case it will be a hard sell.

They don't like the Clintons and aren't all that sure what to do with Obama.

As the campaign progresses, those perceptions won't stand.
