1. Because they have to keep reminding themselves to not say it
The pundits are so use to dissing Dems they think the Luntz driven Democratic put down is business as usual.

The other day I heard a CNN pundit still saying Democrat Senator, and saying it to the Democratic Senator's face. Dem Senator said nothing about it.

2. Same reason they rarely challenge them on the talking points.
It has been proven that the talking heads get marching orders from much higher pay grades. The mission of the corporate media is to give a corporate-friendly slant to the "news."

3. I ask myself that question with a lot guests about a lot of issues.
I think a lot of the hacks do not know that it is wrong to say Democrat Party.

That is why they are hacks. They never challenge talking points.
How many times have I yelled at the TV when some idiot just sat there and lets
the talking points roll.

5. because for many years DEMOCRATS said it too, and the ones who didn't , said nothing
or accepted the "slip of the tongue..chuckle chuckle" excuse, when someone DID mention it..

republicans set out to do it in unison..and deliberately to demean & diminish..

It's a power thing..

Like your boss insisting on calling you Bill, when you have repeatedly asked to be called William..

media types are lily-livered weasels, so they like the irritation they know it brings, and since they thrive on friction, they won't "correct" anyone.. they do it too sometimes when they are not being "careful"..
