did tweety completely lose his mind last night? I was listening to KO--and tweety
joined him as people were filing in for the SOTU. I heard tweety praising pickles, what a wonderful, warm woman she is, from a literate family, who READS. what in the HELL was he going on about? also mentioned the wonderful daughters, how non-political and good they are (guess he forgot all the underage drinking incidents??)

I think HO deserves big bucks for listening to that garbage politely.

1. Did you see Andrew Card last night?
I didn't catch all the SOTU coverage due to a weak stomach, and I caught that Card accused the MSNBC pundits of being "cynical," if memory serves me. What happened there?

6. I didn't watch any of it--I can't bear to look at-or listen to--any of those liars.
I figured it would be disgusting enough just reading about it today.

3. I was watching a DVD
and was able to rewind MSNBC through all the coverage and why is it that Pat Buchanan and his hand chop commentary gets to talk more than anyone else-and he's in-frickin-sane. They had Stephanie Miller on for about 11 seconds and Rachel Maddow is way too polite for an MSNBC commentator because she never interrupts anybody

4. Slightly unrelated, but did you see KO interviewing David Gregory
on Countdown last night. About ten minutes before the SOTU, KO asks gregory a question, and gregory quickly goes off tangent and starts talking glowingly about all the people being shown in the House, and KO interrrupts him and tells him to answer the question, as the viewers can see what is going on with their own eyes!

Cracked me up!

8. I thought it was a little strange for David, but he is quite the inside these
days. I don't know why he thought he needed to go off on that tangent, unless he got mixed up and though he was on NBC and not MSNBC.

Night after night, they told Tweety their story.
We've kept our TV dark since cable news became wall to wall
Clinton bashing.

12. The whole damn thing was surreal. Tweety simply captured the mood.
  • Members of Congress, as usual, breaking their backs to get *'s handshake and/or signature.
  • Bush reheating his old shit from previous addresses
  • Bush retelling his old lie about being concerned about greenhouse gases (remember Christie Whitman?)
  • The GOP peeing themselves with glee every time * leaned on the podium and said something insincere with his eyes squinted
  • The endless bullshit afterwards
  • Andrew Card, and his newly re-discovered southern accent, praising *
  • The gov of Kansas sounding a thousand times more sensible than * but still not saying much

Who invented this game? Let's find a new one.

15. I heard it too and wanted to puke again.
I wanted to puke even before the beginning of the SOTU because of all the applause they were giving that criminal.
