Romney is not the fiscal conservative he claims
http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2007/08/28/romney_oversaw_millions_in_fee_hikes_as_massachusetts_governor/

Most in Massachusetts are aware of how he came to balance a budget. He may claim not to have raised taxes but he set a standard for raising fees and most fiscal conservatives, if they are being honest, view fees raising as the same as a tax increase. As Romney gets closer to a nomination the media will get tougher on him. As it is today they have annointed him some kind of business genius.

1. What fees did he raise? I can see some Pubs thinking that
some fees being raised are OK because they don't affect them.

5. The link lists a few but the Romney people admit that $260 million
raised in his first year were his fees.

2. Mittens lie about his record, surely you jest.
Mitt Romney has completely morphed himself from a moderate Republican into the very image of a modern anti-tax, pro life, neocon leaning, immigrant bashing right wing talk show host's dream.

The man has no shame and there is little doubt in my mind that he will win the Republican nomination.

3. And how about that $1.3 billion deficit he left us with?
No one seems to mention that in the newspapers or on teevee either.

6. And why is that ignored by the MSM? I was stunned when Patrick announced
a deficit when he took office. Mitt always says he balanced all the budgets.

7. Conservatives generally aren't fiscally conservative to begin with. Quit believing the hype.
