Dang.

So how's your weather America?

Rain pours overnight, and 'we're not done yet'

Huntington Beach residents take advantage of a break in bad weather.

A pounding overnight storm dumped 1 to 3 inches of rain across Southern California but caused no major damage. Forecasters, however, said to brace for the likelihood of more extreme weather later today, including thunderstorms, flash floods and small tornadoes along the coast.

"We're not done yet," said National Weather Service specialist Stuart Seto.

Cold, unstable weather had already moved into the Santa Barbara area this morning and was expected to reach Los Angeles and Orange counties this afternoon, dropping another inch or more of rain and creating the potential for water spouts and small tornadoes. Wind gusts of 30 to 50 miles per hour were forecast.

Temperatures were dropping in Southern California mountains, and an additional 10 to 20 inches of snow could fall in the higher elevations later today and tonight, Seto said. Avalanches in recent days have claimed three lives in the mountains near Wrightwood.

1. We're getting it here in 'Zona now...tbut hats a good thing!
Still rain but will probably turn to snow above 5000' tonite. The higher elevations can definitely use all the snow pack they can get!

2. I know, weatherunderground is awesome, ha?
Their radar maps are pretty darn accurate!

I can look, and see when the rain is approaching my neighborhood.

SWEEET!

We were way down on our rain totals like I'm guessing you've been, but I think we're looking good.

3. Up on the Monterrey Bay we are still getting soaked lots of wind all night.
I need a break and so does the dog. He's getting hellishly fidgety without going out.

4. Its nice in the DC area
Partly cloudy, slightly above normal temps. After a week in the 30's, the 40's feel nice.
