I often wonder how many of our elected officials are actually, literally insane.
We all know the president is actually, legally, virtually, undeniably, and reliably insane, and we know for a fact that john mc cain is insane in the brain, and we can also safely assume that mike huckabee, duncan hunter, mitt romney and ron paul are insane, there are just so many, many of them who strike me as being slightly to deeply insane, in the actual definition of insanity.

Are they in fact ALL insane? Do you have to be somewhat crazy to be a big shot, super star millionaire elected official, senator or congress critter, or presidential candidate? Wouldn't you almost HAVE to be crazy to actually want to be president of these here United States right about now?

Are these people crazy, or is it just me, or is it you too? Who was our first lunatic president? Was it nixon? Or reagan? Will there, could there ever be a bigger lunatic president than w? God I sure the fuck hope not. The only thing crazier than these nutty republican senators and elected officials are the raving batshits that keep voting them in. Vast herds of the republican insane, roaming the prairies and the valleys, grazing as they go along, over the purple mountain's majesty above the fruited plain to the ocean's, white with foam, God bless Insanica, my home sweet home.

1. I've always thought . . .
. . . that wanting to be president was a sign of insanity. Megalomania.

3. Step Away From Keyboard With Your Hands In The Air, Slowly
Now, take three deep breaths, and 8 oz. of ice cold water. Now 8 oz of your favorite chocolate, eaten in a reclining position. Now a hot bath with bubbles, if that's your thing, or pine salts.

I have a huge amount of respect for our constitution and the ideals that it can stand for... I'd like to think that I could help other's who don't pay attention

On Edit: there are a few that think I'm nuts to want to though.

7. Sometimes I think that JFK was the last wholly *sane* president
...we ever had.

God help us had Nixon been president during the Cuban Missle Crisis.

10. Anyone seeking the power of the POTUS has to be more than a little unhinged.
Having that much power, and having to sustain that much power, requires that some people be sacrificed. Being willing to sacrifice people for whatever "good" requires a callousness that, hopefully, most of humanity lacks.
