Is there an explanation for WHY the Republicans think the way they do?? On the MBTI scale, where are
they?

If we look for clues...what are their charactoristics?

Denial of Facts

Anger

Vindictive

Use of deception, distraction, and Blame

Excuses

Possess a disdain for science

Domination

Bully attitudes

Myopic vision

Lack of real Solutions

Rigidness/stubborn

Please add if you wish...

Is there a system to treat large groups in some kind of therapy? Heavens knows we need HELP....

Treating Group Bullies has to be a new science....but as yet, not in place...

This group of nationally recognized psychologists and social scientists published something of an explanation in the Bulletin of Psychology several years ago.

It's a bit technical but it explains most of your concerns.

2. sure there is - the one overarching characteristic of ALL republicans is
their greed.

Any solution coming from an R is guaranteed to provide a personal benefit at someone else's expense. They are greedy to a fault!!!!!

7. Their greed coupled with the inability to have empathy for someone else.
I worked with a very conservative woman. She was an office manager and she treated the people she supervised like shit. When ever I questioned her about what she was doing, she could not understand how her subordinates felt about it. It wasn't that she didn't care, she was incapable of caring.

I've met many conservatives like that.

5. You should read a book called
"Bush on the couch. Inside the mind of the president."

It talks about how Barbara's stoicism and emphasis on repression of feelings has contributed to the myopic way he sees the world. The death of an early sibling was very influential in how GWB deals with difficulty.

9. The trouble is, you'll find that same list posted about us on their sites.
Okay, maybe not the "disdain for science" one. They claim we want to control everyone. They say we lack solutions. They say we're rigid and stubborn. Pretty much everything on your list. It's a total lack of understanding of each others' positions caused, at least in part, by blinding ideology.

and have more books, etc touching on greater amount of subjects, etc.

13. I don't think it's helpful to paint them all with such a broad brush.
And if they did it to us, I'd tell them the same thing. Demonizing them may make you FEEL good, superior for awhile but, at heart, you know it's not true--and it's not really fair. They can be on opposite sides of the political spectrum--disagree--with the people here without being called evil.

15. I don't think it is demonizing them. There are certain personality characteristics that
conservatives have and that liberals have. It is not necessarily good or bad. No value judgment needs to be made on it.

Conservatives also seem to accept responsibility for their lives where I think a lot of liberals feel they are victim of circumstances or actions of others.

16. First you start with the Fear Gene which is way out of control.
Then add a lack cognitive thinking.
Throw in a massive inferiority complex, bad job, a need to control, a need to be controlled, lousy wife, ignorant kids, and a complete lack of confidence..........and there you have it. A republican
That is unless you are a republican politician. If that is the case just add a need to bully, unending greed and an amoral character.

22. Cow War Diss
There is only one way to understand these weaklings. They are cowards to their very core. Like cows, they gullibly follow and lead one another into a slaughterhouse. And as cowards, they are so fearful they want WAR to murder every "other" they encounter. And they think their own virtue is somehow enhanced in proportion to the vehemence they exhibit in "dissing" (that would be the polite term) whatever group they see as vulnerable.
