Isn't Ed Schultz the epitome of an ass kissing Reagan Democrat?
Heard him on last night tearing down Bill Clinton with Tweety sitting there grinning like The Cheshire Cat and I am thinking to myself this Ed Schultz guy who is supposed to be giving the Dems side sure doesn't sound like any Democrats that I know. Whats the deal with this pig? Anyone know?

1. It could be that he was just telling a side of the conversation...
that you did NOT want to hear. Clinton has/had as many negatives to his presidency as he had positives.

4. Bubba's job approval when he left office was 69%. Reagan's was 65%.
I was in polling at the time.

You're buying into a conservative narrative. The US Americans did NOT approve of the impeachment process at all.

8. I heard a bit from Ed last night
And, he brought up NAFTA, which is not popular among a lot of Democrats. The debate was whether Bill Clinton was helping or hurting Hillary's campaign. It wasn't bashing Democrats - he had the Obama point of view, while Mark Green had the Clinton point of view.

Personally, I don't really have an opinion either way - I'll vote for the Dem nominee if its Obama, Clinton, Edwards, Kucinich, etc.

13. Who said anything about polling? I am discussing
policy. Besides, Americans have proven themselves to be more interested in American Idol than in learning anything about the Policies that are shoved down their collective throats by Corporate Politicians. And dont me I'm buying into a fucking conservative narrative!! Dems fightin words!!!

2. Not this week.
This week, he's speaking up for our Savio(u)r/Rock Star. So he's okay.

On February 5th, the day after Super Tuesday, he goes back to being a goat (unless the press can push the outcome close to 50/50).

5. I think Ed is okay, but he does sound like Rush
In fact, the first time I heard him, I thought it was Rush... and, he was speaking up for some Democratic issue and I started thinking, "what did I miss, why is Rush supporting this?"

Only a few minutes later did I realize it was Ed.

6. ..

No he is not. He has actually been out in front for impeachment, bringing our troops home, homeless veterans, fixing the health care system, ...

He is also NOT a LiebermanBOT.

7. Do you consider Leahy from VTa Democrat?

Ed quoted from him last night. I think Ed tends to talk more from the middle.

10. Ed is ok...and he's pro-labor!
He believes in unions and labor -- that's enough for me!

As someone mentioned before, he is kind of "middle of the road."

He is also for impeachment.

11. Did he change his mind on impeachment?
Edited on Thu Jan-24-08 09:53 AM by Papagoose
I thought that he was from the school that Bush/Cheney deserve impeachment, but that it was a bad idea to go down that road.

I have a love/hate relationship with Ed. I usually agree with him, but sometimes he comes up with things that make me want to scream. He also seems to have an axe to grind with both Hillary and Bill Clinton.

12. Not on Tweety last night. Reagan Dems weren't arguing to Clinton's left
Not the ones I remember. I have mixed feelings about Ed. But just because someone isn't enamored with Bill Clinton it doesn't make them a not a Democrat.

16. Ed is a hack....
At least rush and hannity are conservative idiots....Ed is much more dangerous. Here is a self-proclaimed "progressive" going on national tv and railing against Bill Clinton. There are plenty of policy decisions that I and many other democrats disagreed with Clinton about....but don't go on tv bringing up that morality crap again. I guess Ed is still spewing the same crap that he was when he was being honest and calling himself a conservative.
