Golly Gee!
I wonder if the 20 something percent will perhaps finally begin to wake up now that the miserably failed economic and foreign policies of this administration are going to hit them fast, hard, and without mercy IN THEIR GODDAMN POCKETBOOKS? :grr: :grr: :grr:

1. Some sure will
as Tip O'Neal used to say, "All politics is local." With some folks, the only way they are going to pay attention to a lousy Administration is if the policies enacted effect them directly.

4. The fundies will never vote Democrat no matter what.
That doesn't mean they'll continue voting GOP either.
I think we could see a third party form on the right to go along with the Libertarians and Reform party. So the right wing could be split 3 or 4 ways by the 2010 elections.

5. That's a great observation which I would love to see happen.
They embraced the GOP in complete lockstep because the Ralph Reeds of the political world knew they'd slavishly fall behind any candidate, who with just a few code words, communicated to them that not only do they matter, they're pretty darned important.

This is a huge group of blind followers, so I can see a third party thirsting for them as a base.
