A teenager has been abducted at gunpoint from a bus stop in what may have been a frightening random “crime of opportunity,” according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office. An AMBER Alert has been issued for the boy, an indication that investigators believe he is in danger.

This is important to a few dozen people in a small corner of the country. This is not news, it is a personal crisis. Just like the dead stripper and the bald singer, it is a distraction.

Oh, but it does add to the "dangerous world" scenario that the authoritarians love so much. So by all means, lets make a huge thing of it.
