HOLY COW! Did you see, oil closed yesterday at
Oil - $27.69/bbl

I was watching it every day when it was at $60+, but I've fallen down on the job recently. First, let me say I'm gld to see this #, but second, why is my gas still costing $2+/gal?

REUTERS< FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 2007 09:10:54 AM>
NEW YORK: Oil rose to near $61 a barrel on Thursday after US government data showed a sharp fall in fuel supplies last week.
US crude settled up 88 cents to $60.95 a barrel after trading as high as $61.25 earlier. London Brent crude climbed $1.27 to 60.62 a barrel.

Feb. 23 (Bloomberg) -- Oil traded little changed in New York after rising to the highest price this year after U.S. fuel inventories plunged and analysts said supplies may be disrupted if Iran is sanctioned again for its nuclear program.

U.S. stockpiles of distillates, including heating oil and diesel, fell 5 million barrels last week, or 3.8 percent, the biggest drop since September 2005, according to the Energy Department. The U.S. and European nations will meet next week to draft a second sanctions resolution against Iran, the second- largest Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries producer.
