2. Why aren't you syndicated?
I will ask that over and over again. You nail this administration time and time again.

Make sure you vote on the cartoon, everyone.

5. it's a catch-22.
to get syndicated you have to have a record of published work

however, newspaper or magazines where things like cartoons are published on a regular basis all use syndicated sources or have their own people on staff doing them.

the other problem with political cartoons is they are "time/event based", reflecting what's going on in the "NOW", so the turn around time from creation to publication has to be quick

If I did a cartoon about a cat's antics, it's "timeless" and applicable at any point in time, as opposed to doing a cartoon with bush swinging from a tree on a rope, slamming into a cliff wall and then saying it was part of the plan all along...

that being said - yesterday I have sent off a small packet of "sample" cartoons to a publication in Northern California called Arcata Eye: The mildly objectionable weekly newspaper for Arcata ...The newspaper serving Arcata and Blue Lake.
http://www.arcataeye.com/

My partner's cousins suggested this paper may be a good "fit" with my toons... (or visa versa)..
