Maybe my mom wasn't the only pre-cleaner. Maybe there is a method to the Madness of Speaker Nance, after all.

Only, I seem to recall a lot more activity, fires lit under rank and file family members, and meaningful, cleaningful scrubbing.

But maybe that's just the perma-bruise on my butt talking.

:spank:

6. Me neither. If I had time to pre-clean, I wouldn't need a housecleaner.

14. LOL. Series. And the day after she leaves, which is tomorrow.
It'll be a train wreck all over again. :sigh:

Three kids, two dogs, full time job, traveling husband, (who doesn't do squat when he is here because of a heart condition), part time volunteering doesn't leave a ton of time for cleaning. I wish it weren't like this, because as much as I don't like to clean, I know I do a better job.

It's more fun doing a dig than a clean.

18. I call putting things away, pre-cleaning
I don't mean I wash the floors and walls first.
I mean I straighten up (put things away)

28. i don't have kids so
there are no toys out -- no laundry either. it gets put in the hamper.

i try to go through the mail every day. most of it is junk and gets thrown away. the important things -- like bills get put away in a box. i hate having papers laying around.

Too hot, sweater dropped on dining chair
Raining day, socks dropped near dripping shoes in entry.
Pajamas on the floor next to the bed.

5. We got her a maid service thingie one year.
It just made the whole situation worse.

Our chores (with real penalties) involved scrubbing our own bathrooms, doing our own laundry, and on and on. Late? Docked pay. Shabby? Docked pay.

i'm 66 and have severe chronic fatigue syndrome. i couldn't keep up with it anymore. hubby tried, but he works long hours.

it was a big decision to spend the money, but i'm glad i did. they do a fabulous job. it's a crew of 6 so it's done quickly too.

one of the them had someone clean her house when she worked. now she's retired and does it 2 days a week for the extra income.

11. My mother wanted the floors, oven, bathrooms etc. done.
She idn't want the maid wasting her time picking up after 4 kids.

Maybe Pelosi's afraid the Dems will lose votes if she doesn't get real busy last minute, thought I can't imagine why anyone would vote Rethug.

Don't call me to help move at 7 in the morning if you're not gonna be ready until noon.

Don't call me to help wash your car if you're gonna blow it off for the game.

Get busy cleaning, or get busy resigning, I say!

17. Er, I do a lot of travel for business, and I do that.
Some habits die hard.

1. Towels and washcloths go in the tub, with shower curtain closed to let it drip off correctly.

2. Both trash cans go in the bathroom.

3. Bed linens are stripped and piled neatly at the end of the bed, with comforters and quilts folded in chair.

4. Remote control put on top of the TV.

5. Curtains open, thermostat set to 70.

6. Flirt with desk staff on the way out.
