My Letter:

I applaud Andrea MItchell's almost fair and equal time reporting and mentioning JOhn Edwards today. So far I have counted three times and even a 5 second showing of the rally Edwards is currently doing.

I would like to see more of that rally and more of every rally he is doing everyday.

Andrea is of the school of fair and equal reporting.

It's a pleasure to listen to her.

I was disgusted with Chris Matthews when after the debate she was trying to say " Dont count Edwards out" and Matthews cut her off and talked over her LOUDLY - was he drunk? in need of insulin?

THERE IS A THIRD CANDIDATE AND I WANT TO SEE AND HEAR MORE COVERAGE OF HIM !

A SIGN OF A DEMOCRACY IS THE FREEDOM OF THE PRESS. WE DONT HAVE THAT NOW WHEN THE MEDIA IS DICTATING TO US ONLY TWO CANDIDATES WHOM ARE BEING PUSHED IN OUR DEMOCRATIC FACES AS OUR CHOICES.

WHO IS PUTTING OUT THE WORD NOT TO GIVE EDWARDS COVERAGE?

We have put Keith Olbermann and MSNBC on the map...and although we would dearly miss Keith, if the coverage doesnt get fairer than it is, we can take MSNBC off the map too.

Bravo Andrea.

1. Interesting - I happened to hear that segment this morning

and did a double-take, because only last week or so, I heard Andrea Mitchel say that it was essentially a two-person race and that Edwards had no chance.

they are manipulating people to maybe go and vote for Edwards over Obama so if Hillary wins SC and Edwards either beats or comes in a real close 3rd - they can say that Obama is finished. It seems apparent to me that MSNBC is supportive of HRC. Talking up Edwards now is just a way for them to help Hillary.

As someone who pays very close attention to the media, I've noticed a slight
uptick in reporting on John Edwards' campaign. Andrea Mitchell has managed to
do some reporting, in spite of Chris Matthews' constant interruptions.

Full coverage of a campaign means ALL the candidates--every report should touch
base with each candidate's positions and rallies. Believe me, what appears to
be your deliberate efforts to ignore John Edwards have been noticed! Likewise,
many viewers will notice any change in this pattern.

We are watching you, the media, as much as we are watching the race. Less
punditry and more REPORTS on positions and issues would be the honest way to
report on the candidates.

Please try. Harder. Let's pretend we really have a free media, just for the
hell of it!
