Intel employees have role in supervisors’ evaluations

All or most intelligence agencies will adopt a new approach this year in determining what types of training their supervisors and managers need.

Starting late this year, intelligence agencies will use so-called 360-degree feedback assessments to determine if their managers need development in such areas as collaboration, communication, organizational management, leadership and critical thinking.

The intelligence community is already experimenting with the 360-degree assessment method for its highest-ranking managers.

The seven top intelligence managers are receiving anonymous assessments from their supervisors, colleagues, subordinates, customers and peers that will be used to determine what areas they need to brush up on.
