Still Pissed? Yeah, me too.
I've let loose a time or two. God only knows I have reason to be torqued off at this administration and its mindless supporters. During this primary season, with all of us taking potshots at the supporters of other potential Democratic candidates, maybe we lose sight of the reason we're fighting this war of ideas in the first place. And, yes, I'm just as guilty of it as anyone.

Let's face facts.

They screwed up. Big time. Starting the war in Iraq, over the (mostly unheard) objections of millions of Americans and billions of citizens world-wide, was an act of the criminally insane. Causing the death, either directly or indirectly, of as many as six hundred thousand Iraqis just to capture and/or kill a handful of scumbags is like nuking an American city to kill a few hundred killers and rapists.

And what's worse is they just don't get it. Not this administration, not the corporate media, nor the people who've been consistently fooled by their framing of the arguments. There is nothing that can be done, militarily or politically, to fix what they have broken. Nothing can possibly mend the lives of all of those they have destroyed.

Cheney is trying to blame US, the American people, for this fiasco...as if it wasn't doomed to failure from the moment they decided to invade.

I loathe these people. Every last one of them. They're a pox on the ass end of humanity. Even if it's unwise to compare them to Hitler, Stalin, and Mao, it can easily be said that they share more in common with them than with MLK or Ghandi...or any of the REAL leaders we've had in our brief history.

Bush has nothing in common with Washington, Lincoln, or either Roosevelt, other than occupying the same office. These men had failings, sure. But Bush IS a failing. He's a failing of the American people--that we would even have let him get within spitting distance of the office of the President does not speak well of us. Or our education system.

If there was a just and interested God, neither Bush nor Cheney could take a step outside without being struck by lightning. Rice, Bremer, Rumsfeld, and Negraponte would be chased by baseball-sized hailstones any time they set foot out of doors. The studios of Fox News would be in the crosshairs of multiple meteor strikes until they were nothing but a smoking crater.

Blame us? Fuck you. You horse's ass. You donkey-fart taste-tester. You cross between an addled weasel and a venomous snake. May your tongue swell up in your mouth and strangle the words right from you one at a time. May a thousand ravenous fire-ants take up residence in your bowels. May every disease-ridden insect in the animal kingdom be led straight to your door.

Prison's too good for you. You should be shipped off to a penal colony as far away from this world as we could manage. Pond scum looks down on you. If there was a hell, you should end up there, strapped in next to Hitler, Stalin, and Mao, forced to watch Ishtar for the rest of eternity.

I could hope a loathsome parasite crawls into your eyes and lays eggs inside that putrescent sewer you call a brain. I could hope a swarm of African bees catches you crossing a street, and chases you under the wheels of an oncoming bus--but not to be killed. Just paralyzed from the neck down and left to lay there in the gutter while passing dogs piss on your head.

I could hope the denizens of a hundred zoos escape, only to seek your very doorstep. I could hope a pack of predatory velociraptors, torn loose from their own time and thrown millions of years into the future, end up chasing you down the halls of your own home, biting bloody chunks out of your ass until you find refuge in your bathroom, where a nest of vipers has inexplicably come to reside.

I can't think of a single punishment worthy of your crimes. You deserve nothing less than the hell of being torn to pieces. Forever and ever.

<sigh>

But the universe is not likely to do any of these things to them. They are OUR problem, unfortunately. We made them, and it's our duty, our obligation, to see them out of office, and, preferably, into a long prison sentence somewhere cold and uncomfortable. Not just Bush and Cheney, but every single one of the scumbags who participated in this evil debacle.

I'd settle for impeachment and a trial for war crimes, actually. Now THAT would be justice.

1. 10 on the Richter scale.
And 10 on the righteous truth scale.

3. I think impeachment is out of the question,

because congress was even more complicit than the MSM and the American people. A seat in the docks of The Hague might be possible.

8. Like I said yesterday
you crystallize my thoughts, Saje. Nice work. May we have less reason for anger in the coming years. Until then, your writing kicks ass.
