17. I thought he was incredibly cowardly
for the few days after 9/11 when he went into hiding without communicating with the public. Just the opposite of what a president should do.

That (along with his bizarre behavior in the classroom) let me to believe he may have been somehow involved.

22. I was naive. I believed he was NOT a 'nation-builder' and akin to common folks.
I was ignorant of his and his family's history and the history of their constituents.

In spite of all that, I participated in every PRE-IRAQ WAR PROTEST because,...I woke up to (what I thought was) OBVIOUS PROPAGANDA.

Forgive me for being involved in something other than the politics that turns everyone off, as bad now as ever.

However, after being fully 'aware' of life greater than my little one, I must say the greatest enemy is the "MONSTER IN THE BOX",...that would be the most manipulative machine in American history: the fucked-up "news media" driven by profit without enough principle to chew. If I were able to convict for violation of democracy, the 'news media' would be FIRST along with the radio hate-mongers, the congress critters that whored to corporacrats would be 3rd and the corporations along with their K-Street WHORES would be at the top of the list of REGULATORY DESTRUCTION in order to ensure healthy competition.

26. I've had
An "irrational hatred" according to the right wing, from the first time I laid eyes on him. I consider it rational and based in fact. I was living in Texas at the time and he was running for governor of Texas and slimed a great lady, Ann Richards, in his slimy greedy bid for that office.

The man sparked a deep seated revulsion in me from day one. I have a blog proving it. I lost many online "friends" between Sep 11 and the lead up to the Iraq war - even for the first two years of the war. I loathe the man and everything he stands for. Including his constituency.

38. LMAO.. you've gotta be kidding...
Let's see, dodged the draft, failed in every miserable business venture he's ever been in, bought his way into the Governors seat, proceeded to make Houston the most polluted city in the union, allowed Texas to become the most corrupt state Government in the union, stole the presidential election, allowed corporations to dictate U.S. policy, sat in a classroom reading a fucking book while our country was under attack, lied about who did it, started a real war on false information, let a U.S. city drown, subverted the constitution, stole away civil liberties, outed a CIA agent who was keeping WMD's out of the hands of terrorists, killed the economy, put our grandchildren into debt, and all the while laughed and smiled about the whole thing, like it was a big fucking college prank. If that graph went to the lowest circles of hell that still wouldn't be low enough to show my opinion of George W. Bush before or after Sept 11th.

40. I was at the inauguration of the pretender protesting his theft
of the election. My position has never changed. My opinion of what happened to us on 9-11 is clarified by reading Shock Doctrine, by reading everything by Chalmers Johnson, by Noam Chomsky's body of work, by having grown up with the assassinations of Malcom, Kennedy, King and Kennedy, with the Vietnam War, with Nixon's domestic operations against the antiwar movement, and with the neoliberal counter revolution that started here with Reagan's October Surprise. I actually read the PNAC documents BEFORE 9-11. They got their pearl harbor. What a coincidence. I am one of those leftist dead enders who grew up with tear gas and riots and never forgot what I knew to be true. We told you so. I take no comfort in that.

43. Where was I?
On the graph, I would be at the same place I am now, in the 'strongly disapprove' column. Too bad that's as strong as the language gets.

Mentally, I was in for a painful education. I never realized how gullible America was. I watched it being led into mindless rah-rah patriotism right off a damn cliff.

May I take this opportunity to point out someone, a hero whose name is largely forgotten, Barbara Lee, Dem from California. She was the only member of Congress to vote no on the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Terrorists, because the way it was written granted sweeping powers to the President the Constitution did not grant. She turned out to be frighteningly correct, of course.

I remember that my first reaction was sadness - I was driving around listening to stories of survivors on the radio and crying. Then the station played John Lennon's Imagine with a lot of sound clips from it, and that pretty much summed up my feelings.

I did have some hope at first that we would respond well as a nation - I never had any faith in Bush. But then the bombs started dropping on Afghanistan and everyone seemed so full of hate and vengeance and I knew we were fucked.

Which is where you would find my dot from day one till today with only minor variations between -65% to -95% with 0 representing the worst boss I've ever had and -100% representing the level of pure revulsion and hatred one should reserve for Hitler, Stalin and Pol-Pot.
