Hillary Clinton Talks to Tyra about Bill's Infidelity
Okay, so she didn’t cry. But Hillary Clinton certainly got personal while filming the Tyra Banks Show — engaging in a frank discussion about husband Bill Clinton’s infamous fling with former White House intern Monica Lewinsky.

“I really had to dig down deep and think hard about what was right for me, what was right for my family,” the Democratic presidential hopeful told Tyra Banks during her apperance taped Monday and set to air Friday. “I never doubted Bill’s love for me ever, and I never doubted my faith and my commitment to our daughter and our extended family.”

Still, she admitted, she grappled with feelings of anger and embarrassment.

“The momentary feelings — you know, you are mad, you are really upset, you are disappointed — all of that goes through your mind …” Clinton said. “I have found you really shouldn’t make decisions in the heat of those moments.”

After surviving such a high-profile affair, Banks noted, women must come up and say, “My husband is stepping out on me,” and ask, ” What is Clinton’s advice?”

“I say you have to be true to yourself,” Clinton said. “No one story is the same as any other story. I don’t know your reality. I can’t possibly substitute my judgment for yours. … You have to do what is right for you and that may not be what anybody else believes.”

On a lighter note, the N.Y. Senator also proposed launching a reality show to come up with a new title for “First Lady” should Bill inherit the role.

“Here are some of the things that have been suggested, like ‘ First Mate.’ His Scottish friends say ‘First Laddy.’ But we need ideas,” she said. “I’ll just keep calling him Bill.”

Why else would she want to bring up this subject? And doesn't it open up the whole issue for discussion?
What I dislike is she implies it was the only time that infidelity happened. It is not. We all know it is
not. It is something she accepts on an ongoing basis.

3. Right and again, it's her life and her decision
It'll get brought up no matter whether she does it or not. Good on her for picking her time, her place and telling people who should really mind their own business that she stands by her choice to stay in her marriage.

6. "I never doubted Bill's love for me, ever." OK, I've got a problem with that.
If that statement is true, then I think she has a problem with her reasoning process.

Or maybe it depends on what your definition of 'love' is.

9. why don't you think the man loves her?
we all do stupid dumb fuck things, but that doesn't mean you don't love someone.

maybe it depends on what your definition as high handed asshole is.

17. Maybe some remedial reading would help.
I never said he doesn't or didn't.
What I said was that anyone who has been cheated on, in first learning of the fact, has doubted the love
that the unfaithful partner supposedly has for them.
You'd have to not be human, to not doubt it.

So when Hillary asserts that she never doubted his love for her for a moment - come on. Of course she did.

10. Ummm. Though I'll say it is none of our business...
Since she is talking about it --- I'd really question a man's love who habitually cheats on his woman.

I don't know many women who would want that kind of love.

In fact, if she was not getting something else out of their marriage - why would she want to stay with him?

Who the fuck knows - but like I said, it is none of our business.

I'll admit for having little respect for a man (or woman) that deceives their partner (over and over) - but I always had great respect for Bill the President. Very separate things IMO.

Public vs Private.

Damn good pres, shitty husband.

26. There are lots of ways to be a bad spouse
Infidelity is just one of them. It's their marriage. She'll undoubtedly be asked about her decision to stay with her marriage. Again, good on her for doing so on her own terms.

Bill and Hillary lie to us about it in 1992 on 60 Minutes?

18. A Tyra show that's not dedicated to all things Tyra?
Who knew that could happen??

I've always wondered if Bill and Hillary are non-monogamous but forced to play along with the standard relationship model due to their political passion and successful careers. Either way, I respect the fact that it's none of my damn business and I believe she made the decision that was right for her and her family. People love to assume she made the decision to stay for political ambition only but if that were the case, then I think we would be seeing a very different Chelsea Clinton right now. Considering she's not passed out drunk in bars, posing in Playboy or on her 5th marriage tells me she was a priority in her parents' lives.

21. “I never doubted Bill’s love for me ... I never doubted my faith" -- obvious lies
This is what I can't stomach about her. Everything she says is calculated, and usually a lie.

Whenever she is talking, I think about what Mary McCarthy said about Lillian Hellman:

"Every word she writes is a lie, including “and” and “the.” "

That's how I now feel about Hillary: Everything she says is a lie, including "and" and "the", but we might also add "is" and "voted for."
