Looks like Edwards is going to get the nomination
At least he will if all this childish sniping between Obama and Clinton continues. It's going to turn people off of both of them, and they will switch to Mr. Edwards.

Perhaps one or both of them will realize this and knock it off? Can one dream?

5. There are several threads stating that both campaigns have
called a truce. Actually, both press releases were great!

Thank goodness.

Peace:thumbsup:

7. I knew Edwards was getting the nomination
after NH when CNN's "best team in politics" agreed that while they got in wrong in Iowa and wrong in NH, they "guaranteed" that either Obama or Clinton would get the Dem top spot.

12. One thing is for sure. Karl Rove is laughing and lauging and laughing some more
He must feel like Christmas comes twice a year at this point as this is the gift that keeps on giving for republicans. I just hope it doesn't do too much damage to the party before it goes away.

22. It's still unlikely
people here don't know enough about the nuts and bolts of winning, and JE doesn't have those nuts and bolts. He doesn't have game on the ground in several 2/5 states- and that means no GOTV. In other states he just has minimum. It's estimated that it will cost over $20 million to run tv advertising in the big 2/5 states, and although Edwards may have that, he doesn't have it if he's going to keep paying staff and running operations.

29. Obama's problem
is that he is trying to be a broad national base candidate but is already facing GOP style divisive tactics- in his own party. This is extremely difficult for a newcomer who also needs to fight back hard to win. This whole thing is raising doubts about both candidates in relation to match-ups against REAL GOp tactics and candidates in the fall, all entirely of their own making. What they are specifically doing in their match-up is entirely betray an inability to grapple with GOP campaign styles in any way except to hurt themselves, one way or another.

Even as an Edwards supporter this is a very disturbing thing to see. I don't want to see ANY of our candidates endangering our national campaign like this.
