Why I Fight

My oldest son is thirteen and he wants to be an astronomer. The way things look, the only way I'll ever be able to afford to send him to college is if my novels become best-sellers or if I die in some horrible accident so my life insurance will provide the funds.

I'm hoping for the former, of course.

My youngest wants to be a wild animal vet.

I'm proud of both of them and wish only the best for them. I want to see a world and a nation where their dreams aren't killed in the womb by selfish, self-centered, egotistic politicians and corporate vampires. I don't want them coming of age in a country that looks back on itself with regret for what was lost.

Oh, I oppose abortion all right. Economic abortion. The abortion of dreams. The death of the future unborn.

I fight for my children and yours. And their children after them.

And I will NEVER stop fighting.

Keep working on those novels. Writing is a rewarding pastime, even if it never becomes profitable. And an intelligent and passionate person such as your self stands a good chance of making some money at it.
