math question.... does 2nd and 3rd beat 1st?

math question.... does 2nd and 3rd beat 1st?
a post here got me thinking....

if a candidate comes in first for all primaries would the 2nd and 3rd place candidates have enough delegates together to create their own first place?

4. Well, some must be winner-take-all, right?
So I don't think it could happen. Plus, don't forget the superdelegates - I don't see how they could support the 2nd and 3rd candidates after their constituents voted for someone else, wouldn't make much political sense for them.
