BUSH: "We Should Have Bombed AUSCHWITZ"

.....................

What has been all but forgotten, however, is the role of Prescott Bush, George W. Bush's grandfather, who was in business with the Nazis even after the U.S. entered the war in late 1941:

George Bush's grandfather, the late US senator Prescott Bush, was a director and shareholder of companies that profited from their involvement with the financial backers of Nazi Germany.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/usa/story/0,12271,1312540,00.html

The Guardian has obtained confirmation from newly discovered files in the US National Archives that a firm of which Prescott Bush was a director was involved with the financial architects of Nazism.

His business dealings, which continued until his company's assets were seized in 1942 under the Trading with the Enemy Act, has led more than 60 years later to a civil action for damages being brought in Germany against the Bush family by two former slave labourers at Auschwitz and to a hum of pre-election controversy.

We will never know if George Bush gave any thought to his grandfather's role in the creation of the Nazi camps while he toured a memorial to the horror they produced. One of his biggest flaws is his instinctive reflex to deflect responsibility for his own failings, so it is unlikely he'd see any connection between himself, the family fortune that paved his way to power and the portion of it that came from profits from his grandfather's business dealings with Hitler's government.

That would hit him a little too close to home.

3. Yes, it's one of his most cherished thoughts.

The Bush Crime Family™ celebrates it at every family gathering.

They relish in the fact that the American people are stupid enough to continue to allow them to "serve" (should be disserve) the public.

He toasts his Grandfather every chance he gets (which is usually nightly, and several times a night).

:(

Oh...for those humor challenged among us...:sarcasm:

7. Does Bush give a thought to anything?
I wouldn't be at all surprised if Poppy never told him the family secrets.

Granted, it's not that much of a secret anymore, but then Dumbass has already admitted that any news he gets is "filtered" through his handlers.

15. No, but the PNAC agenda sure read like the sequel to Mein Kampf
Maybe the end body count was smaller.... though the real death toll is probably a lot higher than what we have been told.

16. That's what my husband said at the beginning of the Bush presidency. Now he is less sanguine...
We have lost so many of our civil liberties, the rest continue to erode at a great rate, the federal civil service has been hollowed out -- and an entire apparatus has been put in place to shut down our democracy at the next emergency that strikes the president as needing martial law.

No, GW Bush isn't responsible for his grandparents, but he appears to have been raised in an atmosphere of total entitlement with allegiances to those of his class across international lines, rather than allegiance to, say, the US Constitution. And that kind of thinking was no doubt what led ol' Prescott to feel quite comfortable with the business dealings he had.

Forgot to mention: Mr. H is the son of Holocaust survivors.

14. Nah. He sees absolutely no connection; his mind (what there is of it) is exceptionally...
...well-compartmentalized.

Bush -- a legend in his own mind -- has no responsibility for any bad event.
