Former Blackwater employees get probation for possession of stolen weapons
http://www.newbernsj.com/news/court_38094___article.html/blackwater_cashwell.html

Two former Blackwater employees were sentenced in U.S. District Court in New Bern this morning to three years of probation for possession of stolen firearms.

Chief U.S. District Judge Louise Wood Flanagan said the details in this case should be kept sealed.

Kenneth Wayne Cashwell of Virginia Beach, Va., and William Ellsworth “Max” Grumiaux of Clemmons cooperated with federal prosecutors. Officials say the men agreed to testify in other Blackwater cases.

Blackwater is a private security company in Moyock that employs about 1,000 contractors to protect diplomats and perform other jobs in Iraq. Cashwell and Grumiaux pleaded guilty in early 2007 in federal court in Greenville to possession of stolen firearms that had been shipped in interstate or foreign commerce and to conspiracy to aid in the sale of firearms.

2. Blackwater is pure corruption from top to bottom
The company shouldn't even be allowed to operate legally, let alone steal millions (billions?) of our tax dollars.

I really want to hear what our candidates have to say about Blackwater's future.

3. They should be outlawed
Our amendment rights mentioned a "Well Formed Militia" which has always been our National Guard. Does not include the right to have private Armies disguised as "Security Forces"

Name 1 government in the world (besides Bush's mis-administration) that would allow a "Private Army" to operate with in it's borders.

4. There was no mention in court about whether the weapons were shipped to or sold in Iraq.
That's not the question. Were these weapons some of the 100,000 unaccounted for small arms that disappeared FROM Iraq.

Blackwater is NOT a private security company. It is a private mercenary RW fundie army, which is better equipped and more powerful than any law enforcement entity in the United States - only the US military is better armed and equipped.
