Indonesian dictator Suharto suffers multiorgan failure, near death
I hope he pays in death for what he did in life by raping and pillaging his own country.

Suharto suffered multiorgan failure and was placed on a ventilator Friday, doctors said, as family members rushed to the former Indonesian dictator's bedside. Physicians called his deteriorating health "alarming."

The 86-year-old was hospitalized in critical condition one week ago with anemia and a low heart rate. He initially responded well to a blood transfusion and kidney dialysis. His condition has fluctuated almost daily, but Friday's drop was the most dramatic.

Marjo Subiandono, the chief presidential doctor, said Suharto suffered multiorgan failure and was placed him on a ventilator after his breathing became fast and shallow. Earlier, doctors said there were signs of infection in his lungs and that he was losing consciousness.

The former strongman was given a tranquilizer to help him sleep, the doctor said.

"His condition is deteriorating," said Ismoyo, a cardiologist, who was among those describing Suharto's state Friday as "alarming." "It's worse than it was this morning."

Relatives gathered by Suharto's bedside to pray and recite verses from the Quran, a close aide to the family told The Associated Press. He asked not to be named because he was not authorized to speak to the media.

6. Most Corrupt Scumbag...
Suharto is probably the most corrupt individual in human history. He probably stole and took bribes in excess of a quarter of a billion dollars!

His fascist political party, Golkar, is probably the number two corrupt party in existence on the planet. Only the Kuo Min Tang in Taiwan is more corrupt.

5. Good Riddence!
I am sure the people of Indonesia will be glad to be finally rid of this albatross around their necks.

In raw numbers, Suharto is in the top 5 of mass murderers of the 20th century. Only Mao, Stalin, Hitler and Pol Pot killed more people, although they killed far more than Suharto per capita.

I hope as he lays dying on his bed, the atrocities he committed torment his mind. I'm sorry for being uncharitable, but for people of his ilk, I make an exception.

7. News - Suharto health improves slightly
The health of former Indonesian leader Suharto has shown signs of improvement a day after he suffered multiple organ failure, doctors treating him say.
The Pertamina hospital in Jakarta said the 86-year-old's consciousness was increasing, his blood pressure stable and fluids in his stomach reduced.

But he is still on a ventilator and shows signs of infection in his lungs.

The precious time of the doctors would be better spent doing an old ladies toe nails whatever.

8. Why don't they just let old people die?
It's shameful to just keep the body "alive"..just because it can be done..

I can see using superhuman efforts when someone is young and relatively healthy..but 86??? The old fart's been at the party long enough..time to go home..
