Superdelegate List
Here's a list of superdelegates that have officially announced who they plan to nominate. If you know of any others or are a superdelegate please post a comment. Obviously the list will change as candidates drop out of the race. Most info is from here unless otherwise noted.

We have also created a list of superdelegates that have not endorsed a candidate. There are 796 total superdelegates that the nominees are trying to be endorsed by.

From the Democratic Convention Website here
UNPLEDGED AND PLEDGED PARTY LEADERS AND ELECTED OFFICIAL DELEGATES

The procedure to be used for certifying unpledged party leader and elected official delegates is as follows:
Not later than March 1, 2008, the Secretary of the Democratic National Committee shall officially confirm to each State Democratic Chair the names of the following unpledged delegates who legally reside in their respective state and who shall be recognized as part of their state’s delegation unless any such member has publicly expressed support for the election of, or has endorsed, a presidential candidate of another political party;

The individuals recognized as members of the DNC (as set forth in Article Three, Sections 2 and 3 of the Charter of the Democratic Party of the United States); and,

The Democratic President and the Democratic Vice President of the United States, if applicable; and,

All Democratic members of the United States House of Representatives and all Democratic members of the United States Senate; and,

The Democratic Governor, if applicable; and,

All former Democratic Presidents, all former Democratic Vice Presidents, all former Democratic Leaders of the U.S. Senate, all former Democratic Speakers of the U.S. House of Representatives and Democratic Minority Leaders, as applicable, and all former Chairs of the Democratic National Committee.

Superdelegates highlighted in red are from Michigan or Florida and do not count toward the nomination at this time. (at link)

In the coming weeks we will try to get a handle on where the superdelegate votes will go.

2. Hmmm...
I'll pm him to let him know.

The CNN results could be accurate -- these superdelegate tallies change frequently, and finding out who they are supporting is not an easy task. I read at his blog that he had been using the link you provided to get info.

Thanks for the heads up.

3. I was on his site earlier tonight -- looking to see if Gov Janet Napolitano
was listed as a SD. I hadn't noticed the differences in the numbers until you posted though and it caught my eye.

CNN says they updated at "11:06 a.m. EDT, January 10, 2008"

6. Up-to-date
The list at DCW is based on public endorsements only. CNN's is based on actual contacts, and since they don't publish who is on their list, we can't correlate the lists. - Matt from DCW.

13. Not at all
Most of the other candidates are superdelegates for themselves.

What's wrong with that?

7. I'm not a fan of Superdelegates.
It's undemocratic.

11. I'm still trying to wrap my head around how they might potentially effect the race
Some say they "blow with the wind" and will endorse whomever the voters choose.

Others say they have an influence, and could upset the outcome.

That's why I'm following them, as best I can.
