Do you know any cons who take Steven Colbert seriously?

This is a real response from a con on another board in response to a post of a video of Colbert at the Press Corps Dinner.


I read all this, theres a transcript in the back of the book he wrote, but thank you for posting the video. And I do not think he is jokeing, he is a comedian, and has to make what he says funny, no matter how serious he is or is not. I agree with most of it to be honest. I think the only two better people for president than George Bush are Mike Huckabee, then Stephen Colbert him self. Bush is the best.


I didn't know anyone actually thought he was serious. How many of them are there?

He really IS very personable, good sense of humor, and seems very likeable.

4. When he first started there were quite a few freeps...

who thought he was serious. It was a riot. Took them a while to figure out what he's doing. I would imagine there are quite a few who think Colbert is serious or secretly agree with everything he says.
