Sometimes a Cigar is Just a Cigar.
To those who would say that Hillary's tears were part of a sinister manipulated message, I would say that sometimes a tear is just a tear.

To those who would suggest that John Kerry's endorsement of Barack Obama was something sinister against John Edwards, I would say that sometimes an endorsement is really just an endorsement.

To those who would say that the New Hampshire results were tampered, I would say that sometimes the results are really just the results.

To those who would say that a vote for the war in Iraq was really a message for caution, I would say that sometimes a vote to wage war is a vote to wage war.

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

3. Still...
I don't think Kerry helps Obama a lot in SC? I think he could have picked a better place and time. If was just another endorsement, it doesn't appear to have been thought thru, in my opinion.

5. It would have helped Obama more if Kerry had endorsed before New Hampshire
I have felt for a long time that Kerry would endorse Obama. I do think that there will be other big Democratic names also endorsing him in the near future and that this is just the beginning of a long parade of endoresements that will now come to him. Kerry's endorsement is a substantial endorsement.

4. Kerry's endorsement was a knife in the back...a two-edged sword, really.
He didn't HAVE to endorse...he wasn't standing on the edge of the "Endorse or Die" cliff.

He chose this moment, when his old running mate was weakened, and the Senator who clotheslined him out of the 08 race was savoring a win.

Make no mistake--the guy's no greenhorn. He fired for EFFECT.

It might not end up being the effect he hopes for, though. Time will tell.

I don't think it will hurt Obama, in any event. It may not help him much, but it shouldn't harm him either.

7. Sometimes a cigar is a big phallic symbol.
Really. Sometimes it is.
