Far be it from me to defend President Chucklebutt, but I don't know how I would have reacted to the floor show. Having to weave through the singing flag-waving kids, being presented a rose by the young girl, and so forth, it's difficult to portray the proper blend of enjoyment/dignity. That being said, Bush appeared to have chosen the goofiest possible look, and was totally uncomfortable in his own skin.
